Job Description:Strategically leads the development, improvement and execution of processes to support the plans. Shapes strategy and is accountable for execution of the strategy. Direct accountability for leading the establishment and achievement of industry and best-in-class benchmark performance metrics. Influences peers and Executives across organizational lines to take action on strategic initiatives or process changes. Works closely with the business executive or deployment champions and MBB to achieve objectives. May be Green Belt or Black Belt certified. May manage a team of associates.

Senior member of the Enterprise Credit (EC) Process, Controls Design and Operational Excellence team transforming the way Bank of America implements Commercial Credit end to end (E2E).

Responsibilities:Responsible for leading the ownership of origination and underwriting process through the following:• Driving the strategy for origination and underwriting process to ensure that it aligns with EC's mission of simplifying our processes to ensure they are OPTIMAL (organized, protected, timely, integrated, measurable, advised and less cumbersome)• Overseeing origination and underwriting process across all EC LOBs to ensure consistency and standardization by working with LOB Process Owners and decisioning inconsistencies in partnership with LOB leaders• Serving as the Subject Matter Expert and advisor to EC, partners and stakeholders for origination and underwriting process• Continuously inspecting, improving and refining their process across all EC LOBs

Full time role reporting to the Process, Controls Design, and OpEx executive• Develops and maintains an understanding of all EC LOBs and how origination and underwriting process aligns to each• Provides broad oversight of initiatives that are executed and led within and across our EC LOBs to ensure consistency and standardization• Consults and advises on open issues, policies & procedures, work streams and other relevant matters• Serves as a key participant and advisor in the execution of our strategic focus area initiatives to ensure origination and underwriting is aligned and incorporated into our strategic work• Leads and participates in recurring governance and reporting routines

Required Qualifications:• 10+ years Commercial Credit Experience• First hand knowledge with the E2E credit systems and processes• Demonstrated history of ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts, partner across organizations, and platforms• Ability to work independently - set and manage plans, achieve results• Strong analytical / data analysis skills - Critical thinker that is solution oriented• Competent at adapting to changing business needs, applying critical thinking, communicating effectively, focusing on clients, demonstrating initiative and influencing others.• Demonstrated project management skills and capacity to independently lead and drive initiatives as well as manage multiple priorities.• Strong communication and presentation skills (both orally and in writing), with the ability to effectively interact, partner and influence leaders and employees at all levels of the organization

Desired Qualifications:• Experience managing a Commercial UW team• Process design experience• Six Sigma certification
