PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Marketing Director plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the marketing of the Credit Union’s products and services. Ensures that products are promoted in accordance with the Credit Union’s strategic and marketing plans and within budget to achieve organizational goals. Oversees content, design and production of traditional and digital marketing materials. Collaborates with other departments to achieve marketing objectives. Manages high-performing marketing team as well as external providers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, develop, and execute marketing and advertising campaigns across various channels, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives and strategies. This includes project coordination, managing timelines, and ensuring high-quality delivery that meets department goals.

Manage the marketing team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to team members. This involves managing workflow, setting performance goals, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.

Oversee the creation and management of marketing content, including traditional content, digital media, and the website. Review/approve all marketing copy, press releases, social media posts, and other content to ensure that content is engaging, relevant, grammatical, effective, is compliant with regulations, and is consistent with the brand voice. Assist with writing as needed.

Work closely with Retail, Lending, and other areas to coordinate initiatives, effectively communicate about projects, and support organizational objectives.

Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns using analytics tools and key performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare and present reports on campaign effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations for future initiatives.

Assist in managing the marketing budget by tracking expenses, ensuring that campaigns are executed within budget, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maximizing return on investment (ROI).

Participate in the planning and execution of community activities, internal campaigns, etc.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Potential candidates for this position must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Business, Communications, or other related field.

6-8 years related experience, including 2 or more years managing a marketing team.

Credit union or other financial services experience is a plus.

Proficient in MS Office, including Word and Excel; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus.

Proven experience in managing and executing BI projects from inception to completion. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong project management and organization skills required.

The pay range for this position is listed above. Our pay ranges are designed to allow for candidates with various levels of experience and skill to be considered, and to allow room for growth to be achieved in a role over time. Generally, new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their individual combination of experience, knowledge, skills, and education as well as internal equity.
