We’re seeking a resourceful, passionate professional services marketing professional with a strong initiative to join our corporate marketing and communications team! As strategic marketing partners, we contribute nationally to Terracon’s growth through pursuit management, client experience strategies, lead generation, and brand elevation. You’ll collaborate with outstanding power generation and transmission and digital infrastructure leaders and talented technical practitioners, marketers, and client development professionals.

This is a remote opportunity. While our preference is to fill this position in the Kansas City area, we are committed to hiring the right candidate, where ever they may be housed.

General Responsibilities:

Work closely with the leaders of the power generation and transmission and digital infrastructure sectors to develop a marketing strategy and consistent messaging.

Create and guide the consistent use of key messaging that supports the sectors by showcasing how we deliver value to our clients through compelling stories.

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications plans to enhance Terracon’s brand presence in these sectors.

Play a crucial role in content development and maintenance.

Collaborate with external communications on digital marketing strategy, lead generation, advertising, and public relations.

Explore thought leadership opportunities and collaborate with sector leaders and technical professionals on writing abstracts and industry articles for digital and print.

Establish relationships and strive to provide excellent client experience for our internal clients in operations.

Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing Planning and Execution

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications plans aligned with sector goals.

Partner with the corporate marketing and communications market/client insights team to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.

Collaborate with the sector leaders to set marketing objectives and key performance indicators.

Client Relationship Management

Develop expertise with and help drive our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Client Relationship Management (CRM) system usage.

Serve as the CRM leader for the sectors’ team, building the pipeline of pursuits, using the tool to ensure pursuits have marketing leadership, recording activities, and bringing insights and data to the team.

Encourage sector leadership and client development teams to use CRM to store valuable client relationship data.

Marketing Subject Matter Expert

Consult with local and regional teams on the marketing strategy of the sectors and serve as a subject matter expert on sector-specific marketing materials, including vendor forms, statements of qualifications, qualifications-based proposals, technical or key messaging, and narratives.

Serve as a resource for local and regional marketing and client development teams connecting staff and advising on tools and resources available to them in the sectors.

Work with our local and regional teams to pursue strategic pursuits. Can play either a lead or supporting role in major pursuit proposal development.

Content Development and Maintenance

Create detailed target audience personas, map client journeys, and develop tailored key messages.

Work with our brand team writers to develop compelling stories demonstrating the value and expertise of power generation and transmission and digital infrastructure sectors.

Create high-quality content, including abstracts, articles, case studies, and presentations.

Develop and maintain updated sector marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, promotional materials, and proposal content.

Digital Marketing

In partnership with the corporate external communications team, develop digital marketing strategy and key messages for power generation and transmission and digital infrastructure sector marketing campaigns.

Collaborate with sectors’ leaders on developing marketing collateral for national services.

Trade Shows, Events, and Professional Organizations

Research, analyze, and plan national power generation and transmission and digital infrastructure conferences and thought leadership opportunities.

Maintain a comprehensive database of conferences and thought leadership opportunities.

Lead, strategize, plan, and execute trade shows, conferences, webinars, and client events. This includes managing budget, logistics, and associated activities.

Conduct research, analysis, and plan for relevant national professional organizations and Terracon’s involvement. Maintain databases of these organizations.

Vendor Forms

Manage the prequalification process and prepare vendor form responses for key power generation and transmission national accounts and clients, ensuring compliance.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related degree and 7 years of marketing and communications experience. Or instead of a degree, a minimum of 11 years of related experience.

Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
