SUMMARY

Responsible for designing art and layouts for material to be presented by visual communications in print, multi-media, and Web design. Specifically, the ability to convert abstract concepts into visual representation while maintaining the IIA brand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Creates and develops graphic design of marketing materials for in-house clients and ensures The IIA brand is present in all marketing pieces assigned.Prepares layouts on Mac platform using InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Includes:

Brochures, postcards, and other print collateralLanding pages and web adsPromotional materials and signagePresentations and documents

Utilizes artistic background to develop ideas that are consistent with marketing team efforts and enhance promotional materials.Works closely with each marketing manager to ensure work is consistent with client needs. Gathers reviews, makes alterations, and obtains necessary approvals.Reviews proofs and presents to management for final approval.Must be able to independently handle multiple projects with varied timelines as well as in a team within a fast paced environment.Web design experience and knowledge of HTML and CSS is preferred.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five or more years related experience and/or training in graphic design; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Multiple language skill is an asset to any role within The IIA.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

Intermediate or higher ability to work in a computerized environment with a working knowledge of most Microsoft Office products. Experience with Macintosh OS X operating system, and high-level knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign. Web design experience and knowledge of HTML and CSS is preferred.
