Position Summary:

Employee Benefits Corporation is hiring for a

User Experience Designer.

The User Experience Designer is responsible for leading the design process by collaborating with product and development teams to integrate usability principles during the product development process. This role will advocate for customers, lead research efforts, define and create wireframes and prototypes,and validate user experiences.

This person may work in our Middleton, WI office, fully remote (Wisconsin or Minnesota locations only), or a combination of the two depending on availability.

Responsibilities Include:

Design and refine intuitive user experiences including digital interfaces and communicationsCreate and maintain a comprehensive style guide to ensure design consistency, along with version control and necessary documentationPlan and conduct user research and testing using Presumptive Design Methodologies, along with user interviews, focus groups, card sorting, surveys and other relevant methodsManage usability testing sessions to gather direct feedback on design iterations and refine user interfaces accordinglyUtilize research data to identify user preferences, pain points, and needs, informing design decisions and improvementsPlan and participate in workshops and collaborative sessions to define future internal and external customer experiences that meet business and consumer needsDevelop site maps, user flows, wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate the visual and interactive aspects of the user interface to agile teamsAnalyze requirements for information architecture to inform implementationEnsure designs comply with accessibility standards, making digital products inclusive for users with diverse abilitiesContribute to detailed user personas and journey maps to enhance understanding of user behaviors and preferencesQualifications:

Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of IT digital design experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experienceAt least 5 years' experience using industry standard software tools including Adobe XD, Figma, Miro or MuralKnowledge of fundamental visual design principles, interaction design principles, information architecture and responsive designProven ability to design for inclusivity and accessibilityExperience collaborating with stakeholders for business process design and documentationExperience in defining and executing User TestingExperience conducting and interpreting market research using Presumptive Design Methodologies or similar just-in-time design processesKnowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle modelsKnowledge of agile and waterfall project management and implementation theory and methodologiesDemonstrated ability to build effective and strategic relationships at all levels of an organizationExcellent problem solving skills, and highly adaptable in a constantly changing customer focused and technical environmentSelf-motivated, able to learn quickly and research issues independently and with limited directionDemonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, utilizing proper grammar, syntax and excellent business acumenStrong organizational and time management skills with proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a high paced environment with limited directionFamiliarity with Azure DevOps, MS Teams and O365 applicationsPossession of valid driver's license and access to reliable transportationPreferred Qualifications:

Experience working with Section 125, Section 105, COBRA or health insurance productsAbility and willingness for occasional overnight travel to an outside client, meeting or conference up to two weeks' total throughout the yearWe offer :
