7.50 hours/day (7:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.)Rate of Pay : $15.59 per hour; (contracted through Thumb Educational Services)

Qualifications:

High School graduate, additional training preferred.Must pass the District Basic Skills Test.Master Library Systems (Dewey Decimals, etc.).Competency in-office procedures such as filing, simple bookkeeping, telephone.Utilize technology effectively and efficiently.

Expectations of Job Performance :

Check out books and other materials.Record and reshelf materials.Receive and check deliveries.Compile overdue listings and send overdue notices.Process new materials which includes typing all necessary cards, spine lettering, ownership stamping and any other preparation necessary to get materials ready for patron use.Repair materials.Type orders and reports.Keep daily, monthly and yearly circulation statistics.Reshelf books and other library materials.Check out equipment and materials to teaching staff.Refer discipline of students to teacher present, or if no teacher is present, sends the student back to the classroom and reports to administrator and/or teacher.Assist with technology within the building.Collect and organize school-wide data.Supervise virtual students.Assist the building administration in any other way that will result in an efficient operation.Positive attitude, good public image and able to conduct good public relations, and model a good public image towards others.Able to deal with students, staff, and the public with tact and courtesy.Dependable, collegial, and supportive person towards all employee groups in the building.Firm discipline skills.Dependable, loyal to the school and building staff.Able to work effectively and patiently with assigned students.Able to handle confidential information with discretion.Able to follow the curriculum and instructors' written and verbal instructions.Patient, understanding, and empathetic towards others.Willing to take direction from supervisors and to show initiative.Organized.Application Procedures:Applicant must apply online through Frontline Mid-Michigan Area Public Schools Consortium at http://www.applitrack.com/gcaps/onlineapp or go to www.croslex.org employment link to complete online application.
