About the Role:

Sacramento Kings is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Editor to lead the production and editing process for our long-form, all-access content series. Under the guidance of department leadership, this key role will spearhead the creation and execution of compelling, immersive storytelling that deepens fan connections with the team and captivates our global audience across all digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:Collaborate on the end-to-end production of long-form video content, from pre-production and scripting through final delivery.Execute all aspects of the editing process, including footage selection, narrative structure, pacing, color correction, sound design, and graphics integration.Collaborate with subject matter experts, players, and stakeholders to develop engaging storylines and translate production ideas into polished final products.Ensure creative direction aligns with the Sacramento Kings brand and effectively communicates our team's narrative to a global fanbase.Integrate feedback from key stakeholders into edits while maintaining the integrity of the storytelling.Maintain elite standards for video production within the organization, staying current with industry best practices and innovative editing techniques.Provide mentorship and guidance to Content and Digital team members to elevate the overall editing capabilities of the organization.Ensure all content is optimized for various digital platforms, with a focus on YouTube performance and engagement.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, Journalism, Communications, or related field.5+ years of experience in video production and editing, with a strong focus on documentary-style and long-form storytelling for a global brand or sports organization.Proven track record of producing engaging content that drives viewership and audience growth on YouTube and other digital platforms.Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop. Experience with Frame.io is a plus.Strong understanding of professional video equipment, including Sony and RED cameras, as well as DJI products.Experience in managing music rights and working with production music libraries.Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with sports fans.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in script writing and production planning.In-depth knowledge of the NBA, Sacramento Kings, and current trends in sports entertainment and digital media.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.Passion for innovation in digital content creation and distribution.Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the NBA schedule.

Compensation:

The offer range for this full-time, exempt role is $75,000 - $90,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
