The Structural Designer will perform routine aspects of engineering requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles under close supervision; work is reviewed for adequacy and accuracy. Under general supervision, performs assignments of limited scope to produce designs that satisfy the requirements of building designs in accordance with applicable governing codes. This requires the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria where the scope is already outlined in the form of contract drawings, specifications, one-line drawings and component estimates.

* Normally requires a BS in Architecture or an Engineering discipline and typically 0 - 2 years related experience (or equivalent working knowledge/experience).* Limited experience in utilizing various computer software packages such as Revit, AutoCAD and other automated engineering and design equipment/ software.* Revit (3D modeling software)* Architectural AXP registration or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification is preferred for this classification.* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.* Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.* Must be able to walk job sites which would include the ability to clime stairs and navigate construction sites.* The majority of work is performed indoors with occasional site visits to projects.

* Up to 10% by both air and ground travel.
