ReliaQuest is looking for a Technical Writer who can create and deliver information experiences and content that drive deep understanding and usage of ReliaQuest's cloud-native Open XDR platform, GreyMatter. The GreyMatter platform is leveraged by both an internal community (our security operations analysts acting on behalf of customers) in addition to our customer community.

As a Technical Writer, you are passionate about developing high-quality content to ensure our entire user community is successful in using the GreyMatter platform. You are not afraid to be hands-on with our product or other technologies so that you can empathize with the challenges our users face. You are laser focused on improving internal and external user experience. You are a critical thinker who innovates and evolves our content strategy. You are a natural collaborator with a proven track record of evangelizing technical products. You can create easy-to-understand API references, integration guides, message sequence diagrams, and everything in between. Regardless of the content medium, you have a natural ability to explain complex topics in a simple and impactful way.

The everyday hustle

Collaborates with customers and/or internal teams (including product managers, project managers, designers, developers, engineers, data scientists, and leaders) to successfully understand the problems our users are facing and the ways our products help to solve them.Maps out the documentation strategy, information architecture, tools, and channels to drive user understanding and adoption of our GreyMatter platform.

Delivers clear, understandable, and high-quality documentation in a timely manner - aligned to product releases and launch events.Consumes large amounts of technical details and organizes this information into digestible formats for users.Dives into the technical details and understands ReliaQuest's cloud-native Open XDR platform, GreyMatter, from both a back end and front-end user experience perspective.Follows an established writing style guide to provide consistent and cohesive content.Audits and evaluates existing content and recommends changes/rewrites to meet brand guidelines and content standards.

Provides input to engineers, product managers, and designers on product content, documentation, and visual comps from a readability and usability perspective.Regularly provides documentation walkthroughs to internal and external end users.Displays creativity and the willingness to experiment with content strategy to enable a positive user experience with our GreyMatter platform.Manages multiple projects, prioritizes work, and sets stakeholder expectations with ease.

Do you have what it takes?

2 years of experience as a technical writer in cyber security, IT, or B2B software companyExperience working with development teams, UX leads, product managers, and end usersProven ability to translate highly technical information into digestible formats for users

Ability to own documentation, education, and evangelization strategy for technical productsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsWrites exceptionally clean copy (and has the blog clips to prove it)Thrives in a fast-paced company with high editorial standards

Proficient with DITA and XML authoringExperience with Adobe AEM
