General Overview:

Arcxis is seeking Mechanical designers and engineers with a wide range of experience who are skilled in Mechanical design and Engineering of residential structures. This includes any aspects of HVAC in production of Manual J, S, and D calculation, duct layout designs and integration with frame design, for single family and townhomes.

Mechanical Designers and Engineers collaborate and coordinate with fellow Engineers, and Designers to ensure cross department Engineering and Design integration to facilitate stakeholder satisfaction with projects.

Salary will be commensurate with experience as we are seeking individuals both licensed and non-licensed.

Essential Functions of the Job:Job duties will be to produce Manual J, S, and D calculation and designs using [Elite?] and final construction documents in AutoCADMechanical HVAC engineering and design of single- and multi-family, low- and high-rise residential HVAC systemsGenerate detailed mechanical design drawings in AutoCAD for construction documentation of mechanical systems for bidding and constructionPrepare Construction Documents in AutoCADWork with design staff and drafters to complete project

Competencies:AutoCADElite or WrightsoftThe ability to read blueprintsCompute dimensions from architectural plansDetail orientedAbility to work well with other engineers/designersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.Energy and building code compliance for mechanical systems. Fluent in California Title 24, ICC International Codes, and Uniform building codesDrive deadlines in dynamic and fast-moving environments.Team players with exceptional interpersonal skills at all organization levels.Self-directed, with good initiative and a great multi-taskerStrong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft word, Excel, etc...)

Requirements

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent comparative experience.Preferred 3+ years' experience in Mechanical Design for residential building systems, code compliance, and construction.Mechanical Design experience with various cooling systems, VRF systems, ventilation, and exhaust systems.Mechanical Design experience with mid-rise multifamily buildings, mixed use buildings, residential and enclosed parking garages.

Work Schedule:

Generally Monday - Friday day shift, however additional hours, including weekend hours, may be required in accordance with changing business needs.
