PRIMARY TASKS & MAJOR ACTIVITIES
Provide library and media services for students and staff in Grades K-4. Responsible for operation and maintenance of the media center. Responsibilities include selection, acquisition, cataloging, and shelving of library materials, as well as maintaining the electronic library system and library media center budget. Integrate technology throughout lessons. Provide media support to students and staff.This position serves two Elementary buildings, Century Elemenatary and High Pointe Elementary.
EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Current Missouri Library Media Specialist certificate; B.S. in Education. Knowledge of Missouri Learning Standards and Missouri Assessment Program (MAP). Willingness to collaborate with peers. Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
