Audiovisual Production and Facilities

Manager

Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of the room set up and tear down of all meeting rooms through out the Wilderness Territories. Responsible for the management and support of audio/visual needs including in-house event production and virtual/hybrid meetings. Maintain cleanliness and working order of all meeting/banquet rooms and facility equipment. Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building exterior and grounds/landscape of the facility while working with outside maintenance to maintain upkeep of facility.

This is a full-time position with day, night, and weekend availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training set-up staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Knowledge of AV equipment inventory management, budgeting, purchasing, tracking, installation, and repair.Ability to lead planning and production of audiovisual services in a meeting, conference, banquet and wedding setting.Ability to work with in-house clients along with virtual/hybrid combination meetings to achieve desired resultsTechnical skills: can independently operate and instruct others to operate portable and installed AV equipment (sound, lighting, projection, theatrical rigging) for events.Ability to make independent decisions in the best interest of the departmentAbility to recruit, hire, train, mentor and evaluate staffStrong computer skills.Experience managing departmentWorks as head of facilities department leading staff in set-up/tear down of meeting and convention spaces and leading in all A/V related projectsExcellent communication skills to work as a high level customer service representativeResponsible for greeting clients upon arrival and establishing a point of contact for support throughout.Delegates duties and holds staff accountable for set up/tear down of all event functions.Establishes approximate time frames for each set up/tear down and assures execution within a timely fashion.Responsible for the cleanliness of the entire banquet/conference center area before, during and after all events.Prepares set up/tear down staff schedule.Inspects interior and exterior of property and equipment for repairs.Is responsible for making sure repairs are complete.Responsible for the management and support of all audio/visual needs.Responsible for inventory of A/V, set-up equipment, linens and other conference support materials.Ensures the staff is in the proper uniform and well kept.Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of banquet set upsAssists as needed or directed with all aspects of customer service.All other duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages up to five subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 20 employees in the banquet & catering department in the set-up area. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
