Reporting to the Station Manager, the Morning Show Producer/Listener Engagement Coordinator will assist the morning show team in planning and execution of a quality, engaging and highly professional daily program while also developing listener engagements in harmony with the overall mission of Moody Radio.

Essential Functions

Assist morning show team in program development/planning. Brainstorming and planning ideas/themes for Morning Show. May include but not limited to:Keeping the master show calendar, tracking dates/times, assisting in scheduling/confirming guests.Providing info/resources to hosts pertaining to guests/topics/themes.Coordinate prize details with the office administrator.Pre-interview guests to find the best content guest has to offer.Promote content segments on social media.Update morning show page on WGNR website.

Assist during morning show, including:Screen incoming calls.Time management for show and on-air hosts.Regularly participate in on-air discussion of a news item or local eventMay be asked to help fill in on air when hosts are off.May serve as engineer for the Morning ShowUpdate and administrate fresh and relevant library of bumper music

Audio editingListen for and edit content that can be used in daily podcasts.Produce a regular feature highlighting local ministries/people/events that will air at various times throughout the week.Create and upload daily recorded program promo, featuring highlights from the daily programUpload audio files to various digital spaces

Promotional planning and listener engagementDevelop, plan and execute listener engagement events (community outreach events, remote broadcasts, concerts, conferences, contests, etc.).Help maintain an active social media and internet presence.Help coordinate national and local promotions/giveawaysHelp develop meaningful partnerships with ministry leaders and pastorsBe alert to potential underwriting clients that will increase the visibility and impact of Moody Radio.

Perform relevant and special duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Possess a growing relationship with Jesus and be able to effectively communicate spiritual truths.Associates degree or two years of experience in related field.Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills.Ability to work without close supervision.Able to type 40 wpm.Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, Gmail, and other related office software.Maintain ethical broadcast and journalism standards.Ability to develop rapport with listeners and coworkers.Able to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate Listener Engagement events and activities, including weekends.Authorized to work in the US legally without sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

Four years of experience in related field.Proficient with social media applications such as Facebook, twitter, and Instagram.Comfortable with recording and editing digital audio for broadcast.General knowledge and understanding of radio and FCC rules pertaining to non-commercial stations.Excellent networker.

This job operates in a professional broadcasting environment. This role routinely uses standard office and broadcast equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This is a full-time position. Typical hours fall between Monday and Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Occasional travel is expected for this position.
