Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Executive Communications Manager on behalf of our client, a national nonprofit known for delivering transformative support and resources to individuals and communities in need. This role presents a unique opportunity to work closely with the CEO in crafting and executing strategies that elevate the organization's public profile and drive meaningful impact.

Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, this impactful role is 100% remote and is for immediate hire!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and execute strategic communications plans for the CEO, driving brand awareness and advancing critical objectives with the CCO and Director of PR.Foster and leverage relationships to secure significant national engagements and media opportunities.Oversee the CEO's social media presence to ensure effective and positive representation.Prepare and refine speeches, presentations, and talking points for various occasions in collaboration with speechwriters.Broaden media outreach to secure coverage on relevant topics, including those intersecting with the organization's mission.Mentor and lead team members as the department evolves.Perform other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of experience as a publicist for high-profile C-suite executives who operate in a fast-paced environment.Proven track record of securing national media placements and thought leadership opportunities.Strong interest in issues related to marginalized communities with the skill to communicate complex subjects effectively.At least 1 year of prior experience managing staff.Ability to pitch the CEO for relevant events and engagements that align with strategic objectives.Exceptional writing, editing, and public speaking skills.Effective time management skills in a fast-paced setting.Flexibility to work beyond standard hours as needed.Innovative and proactive approach to identifying new opportunities for thought leadership.Collaborative work style and commitment to the organization's values.Willingness to travel up to 10% as necessary.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:In addition to a competitive base salary of $125,000 to $145,000, this organization provides exceptional benefits that include medical, dental, vision, professional development, tuition reimbursement, generous paid time off, including 20 days of vacation, 12 days of sick time, 12 paid holidays, 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave and up to 12 weeks of fully paid FMLA leave, as well as a 403(b) plan with 3% employer contribution match and an additional 7% match which vests immediately, family building benefits for reproductive procedures, adoption/foster care assistance, and an annual wellness benefits that can be customized to support your personal needs including funding enrichment classes, gym memberships, healthy eating plans, and more!
