Position Summary:

TheLED Programmer and Designer will be responsible for operating Ross XPression Systems, Daktronics Show Control, and Venus Control Suite to program, design, animate, and operate for Atlanta Hawks Basketball, State Farm Arena, and College Park SkyHawks. To execute technical implementations and produce system and content-related features for the Live Production Team.

Roles and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for programming all events at State Farm Arena including but not limited to Atlanta Hawks Basketball, internal events for the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena, and more. Candidate will report to the Director, Live Production.Operate XPression, Dashboard and Show Control in the execution of the in-game show for all events as directed at State Farm Arena including but not limited to Atlanta Hawks Basketball, State Farm Arena clients as directed, and College Park SkyhawksDevelop templates and system features in Ross XPression Tessera and XPression StudioCreate, program and operate Ross Dashboard as it corresponds to the rundown for live programsDevelop, deploy, and train operators to use system features for on-air or live production environments.Responsible for quality control for all aspects of graphic and video productionResponsible for fact-checking, research and art/video consistency for their respective projects. (This includes using images and audio any approved sources)Assist with the operation of State Farm Arena Daktronics Outdoor displays via Venus Control SuiteAssist with maintenance and service of any Xpression and Daktronics equipment as needed within the State Farm ArenaProgram Daktronics Show Control and Venus Control Suite (on-prem and Cloud) as it corresponds to the rundown for live programsCandidate will be a liaison between Live Programming and the Global Partnership team and assist with needs throughout the organizationAssigned other duties as applicable (This may include file management, content organization Involvement in the maintenance, upgrade, and overall operation of content-related systems throughout the company environment.

Qualifications and Education RequirementsPreferred Bachelor's degree in Communications, Visual Media, or Computer Science and/or 4 years of experience in graphic and video productionMinimum of 4 years experience in broadcast or sports entertainment display systems with a focus on XPression studio, Ross Tessera, and Ross Dashboard

Required SkillsCandidate must be a strong communicator. This position and subsequent team will communicate directly with multiple internal and external stakeholders and will collaborate with other teams to execute within brand guidelinesMust have 2 or more years of experience in a computer programming or coding language (e.g. C, Visual Basic, Python, Java) and the ability to visually develop algorithms for coding/programming purposesProficiency in a Ross Xpression software environment with data feed integration (including Tessera, Dashboard, Datalinq, and INcoder)Proficiency with Daktronics software with data feed integration (including Show Control and Venus Control Suite)Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suitePossess strong graphic production skills and hands-on experience with video, HD display operations, and integrated audio in a live sports entertainment environmentBe able to work well under pressure, be self-motivated, and able to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work well with other graphic producers, editors, and game presentation staff to collaborate and establish an effective workflow within the team environmentCandidate must be able to adapt to ever-changing requests, design edits and revisions and must be able to take direction and produce an approved finished product on timeCandidate must be flexible in working hours including nights, weekends, and holidays when neededAdobe Creative Cloud, 3D Animation, and Motion Graphics experience are a relevant added benefit, but not requiredCandidate may supply web links portfolio showing relevant work and experience
