POSITION PURPOSE:

The Senior Graphic Designer creates graphic design artwork for marketing, sales, advertising, and public relations materials. This position will utilize graphic design software and technology to develop designs and layouts, and coordinate both in-house production and external services. The Senior Graphic Designer collaborates with the entire team to communicate artistic branding through brochures, flyers, posters, advertisements, handbooks, and other company presentation materials and ensures quality control by reviewing printed materials.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Manages the design and layout, including but not limited to brochures, flyers, advertisements, mailers, logos, signs, banners, newsletters, business cards, letterhead, presentations, vehicle decals, web graphics and other public information and promotional materials to ensure effective visual presentation of information.Ensures corporate branding of all graphic requests prior to final production.Handles multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities. Meets deadlines and work well under pressure.Executes effective graphic communications materials for internal and external use.Manages production of public informational material for all service modifications throughout the year.Assists in the development of new campaigns, brainstorming and execution.Helps prepare and review reports and presentations.Operates computer graphics software and other technical equipment to support marketing and public relations projects and other HART activities; coordinates professional services if needed.Coordinates, formats, and transmits various types of artworks, graphics and photos for use by partner agencies and media.Designs specialty items with HART logo and coordinates production with vendors.Provides strategic planning in long-term marketing/communication tools and formats for the organization.Researches technological advances in the field to be able to identify areas of use in the organization.Collaborates with the communications team to develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies.Assists with content creation, including writing and editing copy for various marketing materials, social media, and internal communications.Captures and edits photos and videos for use in marketing campaigns, social media, and internal communications.Supports the planning and execution of events, including taking on various roles as needed to ensure successful implementation.Provides input and support for crisis communication efforts and public relations activities.Participates in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas and feedback on various projects and initiatives.Proactively manages and anticipates project needs, learning annual recurring projects and timelines. Regularly checks in with team members and stakeholders to determine if updates or new materials are needed, ensuring all tasks are completed ahead of schedule.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

Associate's degree in related field or 2 years of related field experience for each year of collegeFive years of related field experience.

Machines, Tools, and Equipment Used:

Graphic photography, digital camera and support equipment, scanner and other visual art equipment, computer, printer, copier, and telephone.

Licenses/Certifications:

Valid Florida Driver's License or be able to obtain one within in 10 days of hire or moving to the State of Florida.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).Microsoft Office: Word, Excel PowerPoint, OutlookLanguage techniques for communication and public information.Computer and graphic arts technical equipment and programs.Transportation including public transit.Federal, state and local policies regarding transit activities.Rules, regulations, procedures and functions of the Authority.Standard office practices, procedures and equipment.Experience in creating ADA-compliant documents and ensuring all materials meet accessibility standards.Experience in digital photography and videography, including editing.Knowledge of web design and social media platforms is a plus.Creative thinking.Complex problem solving.Ability to understand HART Vision and Mission and organizational roles and create material that meets these needs.Manage detailed projects from inception through execution.Translate technical terms into common language for non-technical clients.Excellent

organizational and project management skills.Ability to activily contribute in client's strategy, planning and concept meetings.Communicate effectively to resolve issues.Follow purchasing policies to meet deadlines.Flexible, effective team playerAbility to follow directives, work independently with minor supervision, exercise sound professional judgement, oversee project activities and achieve program objectives.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain and update websites and social media platforms with current graphics and content.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Work is performed in a standard office environment.Ability to hear, see, speak, and perceive color, depth and texture.Subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting of objects up to 25 pounds.May be exposed to potentially intimidating and/or unreceptive members of the public; may occasionally be exposed to dangerous machinery, extreme weather conditions, extreme noise and physical harm.
