Samford University is currently seeking a Temporary Library Assistant to join our library team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting academic communities through effective library services. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining an organized and welcoming library environment. Candidate must have night and weekend availability.Job Duties

Assist patrons at the library help desk by providing information and helping them locate resources. Check in and check out library materials using the library's digital management system. Shelve and organize books and other library materials to ensure they are easily accessible. Support the library staff in the cataloging and processing of new materials. Help maintain a quiet and clean environment suitable for study and research. Assist in the preparation and management of library events and programs. Perform data entry and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Available to work nights and weekends.
