Job Summary
This is a Community Service Work Study student employment position. Applicants must have Federal Work Study funds in their Financial Aid package.
The Social Media Coordinator will help Catholic Charities reach more people on social media. This will include research into and efforts directed towards increasing engagement and potentially expanding social media presence across various platforms. The supervisor will be Communications Director, Ed Langlois.
Flexible schedule, with required availability being 1-2 hours each workday between 9:00am - 5:00pm
Location : 2740 SE Powell Blvd., Portland, OR 97202
Core DutiesSchedule social media posts.Add elements to increase interest, such as tags and hashtags.Respond to messages on social media.Research the best timing for posts.Advise communications director on possible expansion to TikTok and X platforms.Engage with CCO partners and share relevant content.
Minimum QualificationsMust have Federal Work Study fund in Financial Aid Package (contact

with questions).Proficiency in English and excellent writing skills.Good knowledge of computers and social media platforms.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with social media strategyKnowledge of marketing principals
Physical RequirementsSitting at a desk for multiple hours a day
