The Information Specialist is responsible for providing information services and resources to employees, supporting research and decision-making processes, and ensuring that information is organized, accessible, relevant, and up to date. This role involves managing, curating, and providing access to the company's library resources, including books, journals, databases, and other reference materials. The Information Specialist will collaborate with technical and non-technical individuals and teams worldwide to address their information needs, support innovation, and contribute to the organization's overall strategic initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1 **Research Services:**

+ Collaborate with research, engineering, and business teams to support projects and initiatives.

+ Conduct research and provide analysis on various topics.

+ Perform literature reviews and data analysis to provide insights on emerging trends and technologies.

+ Maintain research guides, alert services, and resource lists tailored to organizational needs.2 **Information Services:**

+ Provide expert guidance, training, and support on database searches, library tools, and research methodologies.

+ Assist employees in locating and accessing information, research materials, and resources.

+ Evaluate and procure new resources.

+ Facilitate the sharing of knowledge among employees and promote a culture of continuous learning.

+ Contribute to corporate knowledge archive collections. Assist with corporate history research requests.3 **Library Management:**

+ Curate, maintain, and promote specialized collections.

+ Ensure resources are current, relevant, accessible, and aligned with corporate needs.

+ Acquire and catalog library resources, including digital and print materials.

+ Manage the physical library at our corporate headquarters.

+ Manage centralized library tools within allotted budget.

+ Follow library policies and procedures. Recommend updates as needed.

+ Ensure library compliance with copyright law and licensing agreements, and champion best practices across the organization.

+ Prepare and present reports on library usage, resource acquisition, and service effectiveness.4 **Vendor and Resource Management:**

+ Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers of library resources and tools.

+ Actively ensure digital resources are accessible and work with vendors to troubleshoot outages.

+ Monitor and evaluate the performance and cost-effectiveness of purchased materials and services.

+ Manage subscriptions and services for library related tools and databases.

+ Aid in ensuring vendor compliance with internal policies and requirements per IT Security and Legal teams.

**Education:**

+ Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

**Experience:**

+ Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in a corporate or business environment with a focus on entertainment and technology industries.

+ Knowledge of library management systems, digital resources, and information retrieval.

+ Self-starter with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

+ Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

+ Effective communication, relationship building, and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach.

+ Adaptability with eager willingness to respond to different challenges and scenarios.

**Additional Skills:**

+ Proficiency in library software, information management tools, and information resources (e.g. EOS ILS, OCLC Worldshare, Copyright Clearance Center Rightfind Advisor, IEEE, Wiley, Springer, Elsevier, Dow Jones Factiva, Proquest Dialog, Clarivate, Patent search tools, ISO/IEC Standards etc.).

+ Comfortable with additional business tools such as Confluence, Coupa, Concur, SharePoint, ServiceNow and Windows.

+ Strong organizational and project management skills.
