Description

Basic Function:This position is responsible for filming video content that informs and engages the public about government activities and community events.Representative Job Duties

Essential Functions• Record video content for government programming, including public meetings, community events, and informational segments.• Work with Producer/Directors to conceptualize, develop and coordinate production of news stories, events and performances.• Operate professional video and audio equipment, including cameras, microphones, and lighting.• Direct work of other freelancers operating camera for productions.• Assist producers with all aspects of productions.Job Requirements - As Determined By the City Of Southfield

Qualifications• Experience: Previous experience in video production.• Skills: Proficiency in operating video cameras, audio equipment.• Knowledge: Understanding of video production techniques, lighting and sound recording.• Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with government officials, staff, and the public.• Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate government meetings and events.• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in video production and live broadcasts.
