All About You

Under general direction, assists with statistics, publications, press releases, website, media and public relations, and ESPN+ streaming for specified sports; maintains compliance with NCAA, Atlantic 10, and University rules and regulations; and performs other duties as assigned.

CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include any and/or all of the following:

1. Provides direct sports information support to several athletics programs; writes and edits press releases; pitches news stories to local and national media.

2. Updates records and statistics for assigned sports, as required by conference and NCAA deadlines; meets internal and external deadlines for publications, as well as student-athlete and coach special recognition opportunities.

3. Creates and manages web content including but not limited to online publications, video content, and social media; maintains professional relationships with the media, both at events and through regular correspondence.

4. Works in an office responsible for the streaming of live events on ESPN+ and supports the stream operation accordingly.

5. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and experience equivalent to:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field; supplemented with three (3) years of related experience preferably with a collegiate or professional organization.
