Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):

The St. Olaf Marketing and Communications Fellowship Program provides fellows with hands-on, professional experience in an office staffed with highly skilled writers, editors, designers, digital marketers, and photographers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The summer Digital Design Fellow will focus on photography, video and graphic design projects learning how to properly use our brand guidelines and assets to complete marketing project requests. The summer Digital Design Fellow will:

Work closely with staff members and a variety of campus clients to learn how to properly generate final deliverable files for print and digital channelsManage and schedule content publication for digital channelsLearn how to properly manage a media library: uploading, organizing, and tagging assetsGain experience using Adobe Creative Suite, specializing in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom and IllustratorAssist the Marketing and Communications staff during the production of other video or photo shoots

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)Moderate experience working with Adobe Creative SuiteExperience working in projects related to visual communicationStrong communication skillsAbility to work independentlyAbility to set priorities and manage multiple tasks and projects in a deadline-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracyFlexibility and adaptability in responding to changing priorities and new demandsPositive interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with other members of the St. Olaf campus community
