Description

ISG is excited to bolster our team with a Designer to join our Civil Engineering team . We are a full-service, multi-disciplinary team, who perform award winning work in planning, design, survey, and construction.

As an ISG Employee Owner , you would work closely with Jerremy Foss , PE, Civil Engineering Group Leader, based in Bloomington, MN . ESSENTIAL DUTIESPrepare drawings, documents, details, schedules, or specifications using programs such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, and ArcGISPrepare construction documents and recordsOperate copy, blueprint, and duplication, and computer equipmentObserves and inspects work performed by contractors ensuring compliance of specs, drawings, code, and safetyInspect construction sites for quality and report any variancesInterface with contractors, clients, and other ISG team members in a positive & professional mannerDetermine inspection and testing requirements for the task and perform tests and inspections in a timely mannerAssist survey technicians in survey fieldworkSubscribe to our goals and objectives, including geographic and project-type diversityBecome a complementary member of our team as a whole, and on a project-by-project basis

QUALIFICATIONSAssociate's Degree in an accredited Civil Engineering Technology program or Bachelor's Degree in an accredited Civil Engineering programAbility to travel to various job sites and office locations as neededDemonstrated ability in the usage of programs such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, and ArcGISAble to multi-task and establish prioritiesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalSelf-directed and can work independently with minimal supervisionDemonstrated track record of successful past employment
