Pomp's Tire Service is urgently hiring for a Service Writer. The Service Writer is a core part of Pomp's Tire Service and opens the door for great growth and potential within our team. Service Writers need to explain customers' needs to staff to ensure that proper vehicle maintenance is performed as needed. Service Writers also schedule appointments, process orders, monitor delivery and handle customer complaints.
Job Responsibilities:Develop cost estimates, logging needed parts and providing time estimates for scheduled repairsDeveloping strong customer relationships through successful management of customer needsMaintaining computerized customer profile informationMonitoring customer records to check for regular scheduled servicing and future workSchedule Service Technician work ordersConvey necessary information regarding costs, parts, work and Technicians to customersEnter details of repair jobs on company network and prepare repair instructions
Job Requirements:Driver's License Required, with ability to pass pre-employment driver's file and DOT physicalProven work experience as a Service Writer or similar roleComputer literacy and knowledge of office software programsExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong record-keeping skillsThe ability to understand and relate technical issues to the service team from customers' non-technical descriptionsHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferred
