Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Installs, maintains and repairs emergency two-way radios, sirens, lighting and other related communications equipment in County vehicles2. Sets up, installs, diagnoses and repairs base stations following security and communications policies and procedures used by the County to maximize the efficiency and integrity of its radio/field communications3. Requisitions, orders and picks up parts4. Organizes and schedules work5. Keeps records of repairs daily6. Performs other related duties as assignedMinimum Requirements

High School diploma or GED or equivalent technical communications installation and repair experience.

TO APPLY, must have

Two (2) full-time

years of electronics/technical experience with some experience repairing and securing radio/video equipment.

Working knowledge of basic electricity and electronics communications and protocols.

If hired, you must provide proof of educational attainment at new hire processing

Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include financial reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to stoop, bend, climb, twist and kneel.
