Job Description:

Teachesa full range of courses in visual communications and design for print, web and interactivemedia.Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomesPrepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handoutsEvaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers, and examinationsMaintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlinesBe available to students for coachingPeriodic meetings with supervisors, division, or College, relative to teaching duties and training and development

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Design or related fieldAbility to teach Visual Communication and Graphic Design coursesProficiency in communication and presentationProficiency in industry standard design softwareMinimum of 2 years recent relevant professional work in a graphic design related fieldDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skillsSensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population

Preferred Qualifications:Professional graphic design portfolio will include web design and interactive interface designTeaching experience

Special Note: Thisis a part-time (adjunct) faculty position. Candidates will be interviewed andhired on an as-needed basis throughout the 2024-2025 academic year.
