Job Description

The

Director of Video Post Production

plays a pivotal role in shaping ALSAC's video content strategy. This individual leads a team of video and audio professionals, driving the development, versioning, and distribution of world-class video and audio content across various platforms. The Director collaborates closely with the Creative + Content team, ensuring that our storytelling engages and differentiates us effectively.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:Oversee the entire video production process, from pre-production planning to post-production editing.Collaborate with scriptwriters and creative directors to refine video content ideas that align with the brand's messaging and audience engagement goals.Manage and direct video shoots, including location selection, logistics coordination, and talent direction.

Post-Production Excellence:Supervise the editing process, working closely with editors to ensure the final product matches the initial vision.Make decisions on cuts, transitions, and effects to enhance storytelling.Allocate resources effectively, balancing production value and financial efficiency.

Team Leadership:Lead and mentor a team of video production staff, including videographers, editors, and production assistants.Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.

Vendor Management:Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors, freelancers, and partners.Ensure all parties meet commitments and deliverables.

Innovation and Trends:Research and implement new technologies and production techniques to keep ALSAC at the forefront of video production trends.

Qualifications:Thorough knowledge of general management methods and technical aspects of video and imaging production.Excellent communication skills for internal and external relations.Ability to understand complex verbal or written instructions.Proficiency in video editing, including color correction, motion graphics, and audio mixing.Familiarity with Avid Media Composer and Adobe Creative Suite.Bachelor's degree or more than 6 years of relevant experience.Due to the nature of ALSAC events, this position may require occasional night and weekend work.
