Position Description Summary:

Jacobsen|Daniels seeks a highly motivated, energetic, team player who is well organized, detail oriented, and deadline driven. The individual will support the marketing and communications efforts of the firm, including review of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in detail and coordinating high quality, on time responses that are compliant with client requirements. The role requires the ability to multitask, develop and maintain schedules, and work on multiple projects at once. Communication will be key to the success of the individual, as is flexibility and adaptability to changing deadlines and priorities.

Requirements

Essential Functions of the Position:

• Manages teams in the preparation and submission of proposals and qualification packages for project opportunities, including understanding compliance requirements and extensive subconsultant management.

• Creates and maintains marketing materials and digital content for internal and external outlets, including firm profiles, project profiles, corporate resumes, brochures, newsletters, press releases, website, email announcements, and other promotional materials.

• Writes, edits, proofreads, and produces submittals and marketing materials (including layout) in print and electronic formats.

• Assists with pipeline management of RFP/RFQ opportunities. Supports the maintenance of marketing pipelines and associated analyses for all practice areas. Monitors websites, publications and news sources for project advertisements and solicitations.

• Creates and manages a communications editorial calendar, ensuring that deadlines are met.

• Manages and develops content for social media channels and corporate website.

• Coordinates internal communications including assistance with producing companywide events such as Town Hall meetings, internal newsletters, and other formats.

• May be required to attend meetings or work outside of normal working hours.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and editing

• Visual communication skills to help teams distill complex ideas into easy-to-understand graphics

• High level of attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as lead teams to meet deadlines.

• Adaptability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and simultaneously work on multiple deadline driven projects

• Expertise in corporate social media account management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams) required.

• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign required.

• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop a plus.

• Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) such as Deltek Vantagepoint, Salesforce, or MS Dynamics 365 a plus.

• Experience with managing corporate social media accounts and associated engagement analyses such as LinkedIn a plus.

• Experience with email marketing platforms and content management systems such as Mailchimp a plus.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, communications, or closely related field.

• 4-8 years of experience in proposal management/coordination, marketing, business development, or communications.

• Experience in public agency procurement processes is preferred.

• Experience within Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related fields is preferred.

Primarily in an office environment at a company location or remote office environment. Reporting Relationships:

The position reports to the Associate Director of Business Development or other senior leadership during the hiring process or during the performance review cycle.
