Anthony Wayne Local Schools is seeking qualified applicants for a

Teacher for Visually Impaired (TVI) at Waterville Primary

.

The position is for approximately 10-15 hours weekly at Waterville Primary for the 2024/25 school year, as well as 5-6 hours over the summer to provide services during the 2024 Summer Learning Program. JOB OBJECTIVE :The Teacher of the Visually Impaired provides educational support and consultation services to blind and vision impaired students in collaboration with district personnel. The Teacher of the Visually Impaired provides both direct services to students and consulting services to the student's classroom teachers, other personnel, and hearing students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Ohio Department of Education license as an Intervention Specialist or certificate/license for Education of the Handicapped K-12; Vision Handicapped or Vision Impaired endorsementMeets all mandated health screening requirements (e.g., negative tuberculosis test, etc.).A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.Adheres to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies, and administrative guidelines/procedures.Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team.Commitment to keep current with workplace innovations that enhance personal productivity.Successful teaching experience. Effective organizational planning and project management skills. Demonstrates current knowledge of, and the ability to apply broad-based curriculum designs and instructional technology applications that support the diverse learning needs of students
