YesDescription of WorkPerform complex tasks associated with ordering library materials in all formats, including contacting vendors and using multiple software platforms (such as Alma, GOBI , or OCLC ). Work with library finance and library faculty and staff on library resource acquisitions, analysis, and reports. Train faculty and staff on library-specific acquisitions systems and navigation of library bibliographic databases and vendor databases. Develop and maintain best practices and documentation of library acquisitions processes. Assist with department or library special projects and miscellaneous duties. Align work activities with the university's defined core competencies for Library Services ( https://hr.unl.edu/compensation/nuvalues/keybehaviors8.shtml/ ) and in support of the libraries' mission to advance antiracism and inclusive excellence.

Minimum Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency and two (2) years of experience working in a library or related field.Demonstrated ability to manage complex decision-making processes in accurate and timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of library acquisitions or technical services processes.Familiarity with a library resource vendor such as GOBI or Harrassowitz.Familiarity with library bibliographic management software such as OCLC Connexion, Sierra, or Alma.
