Position Highlights

The Marketing Specialist supports CAPLA's marketing and communications efforts by planning and executing print and digital materials, collaborating with various departments to increase enrollment and brand awareness, managing digital communications, and developing engaging social media content. The role also involves creating and scheduling content for social media platforms and assisting in the planning and execution of CAPLA events.

Duties & Responsibilities

Marketing• Assist with the planning and execution of print and digital marketing materials, includingbut not limited to templates, posters, recruitment/promotional collateral,flyers, digital/print ads, and videos.

• Support in thedevelopment of marketing materials aimed at increasingstudent enrollment and enhancing brand awareness.

Communications• Assists with the development, production, and dissemination of communications to internal and external stakeholders.

Social Media• Assist with developing a social media calendar for relevant and engaging content that highlights the CAPLA studentexperience and culture.

• Support creation and scheduling of content for Facebook, Instagram, X and Youtube.

Events• Contribute to planning and assist in the execution of internal and external CAPLA events. CAPLA events could occuroutside of standard business hours, including evening and weekend responsibilities.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including both verbal and writtenWorking knowledge of Adobe Creative SuiteWorking knowledge of photography and videographyAbility to work independently, set priorities, and think criticallyAbility to work well with others and comfortable taking initiative

Minimum QualificationsBachelor'sdegree in communication, journalism, marketing or a relevant area, orequivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.One(1) year of relevant work experience required.

Preferred QualificationsMasters Degree in a related fieldRelated work experience in a higher education environmentExperience using graphic design programs such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva
