Job SummaryAccount Directors manage client accounts by delivering superior customer service, providing strong leadership/guidance, directing strategic medical and scientific content services, and partnering with Senior Management in new business activities. Account Directors are the key contact for internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally initiative-taking and responsive, adept at promotional scientific content, highly capable in leading teams, and accomplished in developing and managing new business proposals. Expert knowledge and facilitation of industry guidelines is necessary.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOverseeing account and project management for one or more accounts; participating in the collaboration, development, execution, and delivery of scientific contentEstablishing ongoing collaboration with designated team members to define client needs, commitments and expectationsAbility to meticulously manage the financial oversight across assigned accounts including:budgetingfinancial reporting and performancecomplianceclient billingidentifying and mitigating financial risks and steps to minimize them.using financial data to analyze the performance of assigned accounts and projects, and making strategic recommendations based on resultsAdvising team with daily oversight including prioritization of all projects to ensure high-quality, on-time, on-budget performance. This requires an ability to manage people, multiple projects, monitor deadlines, evaluate the cost-effectiveness and productivity of team and individual performance, and identify, analyze, and adjust work procedures and relationships to maximize efficiency.Demonstrating proven business development results - and ease -related to client services and faculty engagementIdentifying opportunities for account growth and expansion within existing and new clientsProviding strategic input and recommendations to clients based on their specific needs based on assigned brands and pipeline productsStaying updated on industry trends and developments most relevant to your client’s medical and scientific content needsLeading and motivating assigned team(s)Initiating successful relationships with a resilient personality that capitalizes on every opportunity presentedExperience, Skills, and QualificationsBA or BS in marketing, communications, biology, life sciences, or related field5+ years of direct involvement with pharmaceutical marketing, scientific/medical communications, promotional medical education, business development in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, or management and account responsibility in a medical communications or marketing services companyProficiency in MS365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and TeamsSuperior communication skills (both written and verbal) and a proven ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to a variety of audiences including clients, and the external scientific communityStrong written/verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and in a team structureMeticulous attention to detail to ensure that quality outputs are delivered to clientsAbility to manage multiple and sometimes competing challenges, issues, and priorities with the ability to delegate, problem-solve, and set clear expectationsTravel Requirements10% potential travelAbout OPEN HealthOPEN Health unites deep scientific knowledge with wide-ranging specialist expertise to unlock possibilities that improve health outcomes and patient wellbeing.
