We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to join our team. Reporting directly to the Sr. Marketing Manager, the Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the strategy and execution of marketing plans, programs and campaigns for NESN and SportsNet Pittsburgh.

The Coordinator will manage promotional elements across NESN and SportsNet Pittsburgh’s owned, earned and paid channels, and be responsible for developing data-driven recommendations on how to optimize and improve results over time.

They will partner with cross-functional teams to integrate broader marketing goals into sales sponsorship opportunities, fan engagement events and activations, social and original content planning, programming, and the networks’ digital product suite.

This role is best suited for a highly collaborative individual willing to work in a fast-paced environment and eager to learn. A top fit is someone who is a self-starter and enjoys marrying creativity with data to make effective decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Schedule, write and distribute promotional copy for on-network live reads (NESN + SportsNet Pittsburgh), NESN marketing newsletters, push notifications and off-network promotion

Lead project management efforts on contests and sweepstakes in partnership with Sales, Creative Services, Social, Content, UI/UX and Legal

Assist public relations efforts via writing press releases and media advisories, tracking trends across the media and sports landscapes, supporting talent and influencer relationships and more

Implement on- and off-network marketing initiatives that promote programming tune-in, branded products and other company initiatives across web, print, outdoor, radio and TV spot ad placements

Own end-to-end process of creative asset development with in-house Design & Production teams by working through developing a creative brief, proofing, delivery and reporting on key metrics

Track performance of campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, X, etc. and conduct measurement testing to continuously optimize and improve NESN’s media mix

Craft marketing copy and messaging frameworks for organic and paid social promotion that accurately aligns to various stages across the marketing funnel

Assist the Customer Care lead on responding to fan support inquiries and monitoring customer support queues and escalations as needed

Write consumer-facing responses for fan inquiries and troubleshooting for Customer Care and social media, with input from Sr. Marketing Manager

Assist the Sales, Marketing, and Digital departments in planning and executing client, fan and company events

Manage premium merchandise inventory and organize related activities

Successfully completes other related assignments and tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 years of experience implementing marketing programs and promotions

Experience working for a sports team, media organization or related entity on the professional or college level a bonus

Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills

Excellent writing skills with ability to develop compelling, results-oriented copy

Social media strategy, CRM, SEO, and/or performance marketing experience a plus

Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment across various departments

Ability to be in the office 5 days a week

Ability to attend events on weekends and evenings, on an as needed basis

Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite; Wide Orbit is a plus
