Sr Manager of Product Marketing

PurposeManage the full life cycle of a large portfolio of bakery ingredients and products, including new product development, ongoing product maintenance and optimization, and product discontinuation. Support development of product and category growth strategies, selling stories and materials, product trainings, and competitive landscape reviews. Represent the Product Marketing team in cross-functional initiatives supporting business health and growth.Essential FunctionsManage the product lifecycle of portfolio: new product development, ongoing product maintenance and optimization, and discontinuationBecome a market expert in owned product categories: understand and apply market relevant trends and competitive knowledge to portfolio managementHelp ensure product marketing activities are aligned to company/category priorities and support the objectives of the overall businessSupport development of near-term and long-term product and category growth strategiesHelp define and share compelling product and category selling storiesSupport general portfolio management: review and align on product catalogs, seasonal programs, website content, and product trainingsSupport business case development for relevant product development and optimization opportunitiesPrepare and align product-related customer communicationsAnalyze and publish reports that support Product Marketing and relevant cross-functional initiativesSupport customer-centric ideation and innovation work streamsSupport product training: material development and live training sessionsSupport cross-functional process alignmentSupport food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured productsPerform other job-related duties as assignedQualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)Bachelors degree in marketing, business, or related field5+ years of product management or related experienceB2B or B2C food industry experience preferredStrong analytical skillsStrong project management skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to positively influence and motivate othersDesire to improve processes, products, and servicesAbility to establish and maintain strong working relationshipsAbility to organize and manage multiple priorities efficiently and proactivelySelf-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently
