The intern will maintain SBU Eats presence on social media platforms and help to publish content relevant to Stony Brook University.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the design and execution of social media campaignsCreate weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media platformsTrack social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalabilitySupport marketing team at live and online eventPerform social media marketing researchCreate influencer campaign strategyRespond to comments and DMs on social media platformsBrainstorm and research ideas for original contentWrite social media captions that speak to the company's target audienceHelp create and edit short-form videosDevelop new strategies for increasing engagementAssist with photo/video content shootsEnsure brand message is consistentOther duties as assignedRequirementsDetail oriented and able to work independentlyStrong understanding of social media platformsAn interest in marketing and communicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBasic Adobe design skillsReports ToThe SBU Eats Social Media and Marketing Intern will report directly to the Sr. Marketing Manager.Job SummaryAs an intern, you will be working closely with Compass Group leaders to develop skills and competencies to be successful in your prospective industry. You will gain valuable experience in any of the following areas: operations, marketing, administration, guest services, problem solving, planning and implementation of innovative projects, and client relationship skills. This internship involves hands-on experiences which will provide opportunities for your personal success and development.
