The Role

The Senior Product Designer will spearhead the design of user interfaces, architectural frameworks, and visual interaction patterns to shape seamless, end-to-end digital guest experiences. Collaborating closely with Engineering and Product teams, you’ll play a key role in advancing our design practices and setting new standards for exceptional guest interactions.

We’re seeking a forward-thinking, enthusiastic designer who excels at uncovering opportunities for innovation and solving complex problems by analyzing customer behaviors. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll work alongside engineering, product management, and data analytics teams to enhance and transform the global guest experience across Hyatt’s digital platforms.

•Collaborates closely with Engineering and Product Management teams to enhance and evolve the customer experience, delivering engaging and intuitive solutions for guests.

•Communicates effectively and transparently with leadership and business stakeholders.

•Provides strategic recommendations, including planning, competitive analysis, and strategy development; conducts research and makes data-driven recommendations for both new and existing offerings based on business cases, roadmaps, and budgets.

•Investigates and adopts new design patterns and methodologies to continually improve the website and app experience.

•Applies UX best practices, industry trends, conversion metrics, and testing insights to optimize digital experiences and ensure the effective delivery of digital assets.

•Leads the creation and refinement of data-driven prototypes, wireframes, and designs for Hyatt’s digital products, focusing on innovation and user impact.

•Manages multiple projects concurrently while supporting the team’s design and technical backlog.

•Develops and tests both low and high-fidelity prototypes to understand guest motivations and feedback, validating and guiding advanced user experiences with emerging technologies.

•Mentors and supports Product Designers, evolving the design process to produce high-quality designs grounded in data, usability principles, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

Experience Required:

•At least 7 years of experience in roles such as experience designer, interaction designer, or product designer, with a focus on mobile, web, and on-device applications.

•Extensive expertise in web, mobile web, and native app design.

•Proven track record of collaborating with engineering and product teams to implement design thinking and agile methodologies.

•Demonstrated ability to drive a hypothesis-driven, iterative design and discovery process using both qualitative and quantitative research insights.

•Strong capability in working within cross-functional teams to ensure technical feasibility, business viability, and customer desirability.

•Skilled in presenting designs and strategies effectively to business stakeholders and leadership.

•Adept at managing and coordinating design work with external vendors.

•Experience in launching industry-leading consumer experiences.

•Experience in the hotel or airline digital sector is a plus.

•Demonstrated expertise in leading design research, ideation, and the end-to-end development and delivery of web and mobile platforms.

•Experience in managing design projects across various channels and coordinating with multi-functional teams, effectively handling multiple initiatives and engaging with diverse stakeholders.

•Deep knowledge of human-centered design principles, lean methodologies, design operations, and experience working with design systems.

•Proven track record of providing coaching and mentorship to other designers, offering guidance and solutions to enhance their work.

•Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with a proactive approach to managing multiple projects and competing priorities.

•A resourceful self-starter with a proactive mindset, capable of taking well-informed actions and driving initiatives forward.

Education & Special Skills:

•Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or other related discipline.

•Proficient in design and research tools including Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Mural

•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, JIRA, and other agile development tools
