The applicant shall work closely with other choir directors, musicians, and chaplains to maintain an up-to-date music library.

Scroll down to find an indepth overview of this job, and what is expected of candidates Make an application by clicking on the Apply button.The applicant shall prepare/conduct rehearsals for instrumentalists and singers for each service.The applicant shall lead congregational and choral singing and provide instrumental accompaniment for all Gospel services and special services as determined by the Wing Chaplain.The applicant shall ensure security, proper use, and cleanliness of all facilities and equipment utilized in conjunction with duties and programs of the Gospel choir.The applicant shall maintain communication with choir members, instrumentalists, and the Gospel service lead chaplain.The applicant shall demonstrate integrity through a moral, upright lifestyle consistent with Christian church teachings.Qualifications: The applicant must have the ability to read music and lead a choir and congregation, while providing accompaniment on piano or organ/keyboard.The applicant must be able to play and lead music from various Christian traditions including traditional, contemporary, and praise and worship.Education/Experience: The applicant must have a minimum of two years’ experience directing church choirs in traditional hymns, Gospel, and current contemporary Christian music.
