Job DescriptionWe are for a Web Developer to join our team!Person will be responsible for developing custom responsive Wordpress websites. You will be part of our small team of designers and developers who work directly with clients. You will be collaborating and defining how our clients' websites look and behave, building valuable products for users that are engaging and accessible.Skills:Expertise in responsive designExpertise in custom Wordpress theme developmentExceptional problem solving skillsGood communication skillsBe extremely detail orientedProvide recommendations for new featuresAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadline constraintsComfortable collaborating with teammates as well as managing a project on their ownChallenging oneself, the team, and the company to constantly improveKnowledge of theme/app development in Shopify a plus
Responsibilities:Conducting user research to understand issues across the UI and prioritize which areas to focus onDesign, develop, and maintain websitesMaintaining a design systemMust be able to develop themes that are accessible and WCAG complaintAdhere to web standards and maintain website optimization (content optimization, image optimization, etc.) for accessibilityMaintain HTML, CMS or eCommerce (Shopify, WooCommerce) websitesKeep up-to-date on web development standards and trends
Qualifications:At least three (3) years of experience at a digital marketing agency, web design agency, or related fieldMust have relevant portfolio to demonstrate design and development skillsBachelor's degree in Interface Design or related design fieldExpertise in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe XD, Sigma)Thorough knowledge of HTML5, SCSS, Javascript, PHP, and other related languagesProficient with Wordpress CMS environmentKnowledge of Shopify a plusKnowledge of Squarespace a plus
