Job Description Summary

GE HealthCare’s global internal communications team is seeking a communications manager with experience in driving colleague engagement and culture through informative and inspiring content. This role will support culture and purpose-focused communications, including driving our culture work forward through integrated communications planning and developing and executing internal communication strategies related to talent management, colleague listening and patient-focused storytelling using a multitude of internal communication channels.

To be impactful in this role, you must be able to work in a matrixed organization, collaborate with numerous stakeholders, manage multiple projects simultaneously, understand and apply communication channels to meet the unique needs of different audience segments, continuously improve based on feedback and metrics, and execute flawlessly.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

The Internal Communications team is focused on engaging our GE HealthCare teammates globally, creating an engaging internal colleague experience while advancing the company’s strategy, purpose and culture. We’re looking for an experienced, strategic and detail-oriented communicator to support select areas of the business tied to driving our culture and purpose forward.

In this role, you will directly support business leaders who oversee global culture-focused initiatives, creating robust internal communication strategies in support of company objectives. You will manage communications planning and delivery, write and edit content and recommend the most effective communications strategy to inform, inspire and engage colleagues globally. In addition, you will help engage and inspire colleagues internally through storytelling with a focus on patient outcomes.

The experience and skills necessary for success include the ability to work collaboratively with business partners; deliver exceptional communications content in ways that engage employees; exhibit strong written communication and strategic planning skills with demonstrated experience speaking and writing clearly and convincingly; tailor communication methods to customer’s requirements.

This role will:

Be a strategic and trusted communications partner to leadership within the HR function, providing communications guidance on critical priorities related to our talent processes, Culture Survey and other colleague listening mechanisms.

Collaborate with the broader Corporate Marketing and Communications team (Segment, Region and other Function communicators) to ensure culture messaging and communications tools and materials are aligned.

Work closely with marketing and external, product and region communicators to identify powerful patient experiences related to our products and bring our purpose to life through storytelling; may include interviewing customers and/or patients.

Create best-in-class, colleague-focused content (written, verbal, video) aligned with broader company efforts and messaging.

Use metrics and data to shape strategic communication plans.

Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.

Embrace a positive, team-focused attitude and growth mindset.

Be creative and develop new ways to engage the colleague population.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing or related field.

5+ years of communications experience covering internal communications.

Desired Characteristics:

Able to manage multifaceted projects and deliverables with an eye for detail, quality and deadlines

Possess strong foundational skills, including written communication, storytelling, grammar, presentation and strategic planning

Experience working across multiple levels, business units, functions and regions

Ability to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand and compelling manner in written form, verbally or visually

Must be able to work well on multiple tasks within the same timeframe, sometimes with conflicting deadlines and under pressure
