Job Summary:Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents those programs. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. May be responsible for completion of a phase of a project. Regularly provides guidance and training to less-experienced analysts/programmers.

Job Description:

Lead and manage architecture solution, support, and development of ad hoc and long-term Microsoft BI solutions and Power BI Reports.

Oversee design of data models and designs required to implement performant Microsoft BI solutions and Power BI Reports.

Deliver enterprise-level reporting and data governance solutions.

Design and support robust and scalable reporting data models and schemas.

Create interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

Develop sophisticated data transformations using Power Query and DAX functions.

Optimize report performance of Power BI reports and dashboards.

Establish best practices and guidelines for data visualization and report development.

Mentor and train junior Power BI developers as needed.

Develop and maintain technical documentation

Education, Credentials, Licenses:Bachelor degree.Bachelor degree requirement can be waived if the candidate has four or more years of certification and experience supporting the applicable application.Specialized Knowledge:

Strong communication and follow-up skills. Familiarity with processes in clinical or financial departments. Detail oriented, experience researching business needs, troubleshoot issues, and capacity to re-engineer reports to meet the business needs.Kind and Length of Experience:

Five or more years of certified Epic experience supporting an Epic or other applicable application. Report writing in either SQL or Crystal.
