Mentors lower level employees. Leads "must win" new business campaigns in implementation of established processes for acquiring new business. Supports campaigns in a leadership role in executing established processes and tools. Prevents or resolves complex problems; selects, evaluates and applies company standards, policies and procedures. Tailors and adapts processes to unique and dynamic environments. Communicates and interprets new business acquisition process, tools and capabilities to other companies and organizations. Represents the organization on company-wide programs, teams and committees. Mentors lower level employees, proposal managers, capture team leaders and capture teams. Coaches campaign teams on how to hire and retain proposal consultants. Reviews and provides input on various proposal consultant options. Reviews business needs identified by management, populates new business acquisition data systems by entering campaign information into the system in a timely manner for use in improving customer relations and strategic and tactical decision-making. Reviews the development and improvement of databases. Oversees training and development activities. Coaches, mentors, advises and develops and delivers training to using the acquire new business process by identifying needed knowledge, skills and abilities from lessons learned, historical data and management/customer requests, researching and writing material (e.g., student and instructor aids) per established design procedures, piloting prototypes, reviewing evaluations and feedback, revising as needed, providing final product, and gathering and providing metrics for the purpose of ensuring use of established and agreed to processes and increasing the win rate. Collects Contractor Performance Assessment Reports (CPARs) from various programs and gives them to CPAR focal for input into database. Consults with Finance organization, applicable programs in order to come up with database requirements. Provides consultant-level direction in the proposal development process to the Capture Team Leaders and proposal teams. Leads large, complex proposal teams. Develops creative, innovative approaches to meet proposal development requirements. Mentors new business Capture Team Leaders, proposal managers, team members and lower level employees.
