About the Role & ProgramDisney’s Yellow Shoes is the award-winning, in-house creative agency for all of the Disney Destinations Division lines of business. Every day, we have fun creating compelling, memorable work for one of the greatest brands on the planet, and we’re looking for a very talented, ambitious Creative Art Direction Intern to join us!What You Will DoAs a Creative Art Direction Intern with Disney’s Yellow Shoes, you will create innovative and conceptual ideas for Disney Theme Parks and Resorts alongside talented team members and Senior Leaders. You will participate in ideation sessions with members of the Creative Department. You will take part in photo/video shoots, editorial sessions; collaborate with illustrators, photographers, designers, videographers and directors. You will have the opportunity to show your problem-solving skills and creative thinking skills for a range of advertising mediums.

Social and digital by design, we expect EVERY intern to fully grasp the importance of thinking creatively in a tech-inspired world. You will also work in broadcast, print, and collateral.

Solid, imaginative design skills and some understanding of the production process is expected. To be successful as part of our team, strong conceptual ability, an open mind and a passion to learn will take you very far.Create concepts for the Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, Adventures by Disney and moreDo creative research – you’ll identify and share the latest trends in digital, photography, visual art/design, typography and other emerging mediaAssist in developing materials for creative/strategic presentationsParticipate in “beginning-to-end” tactical ideation from the big idea to the smallest mobile banner adsMaintain and create content for all digital and social channels associated with the Disney Destinations GroupRequired Qualifications & SkillsAn excellent student portfolio filled with smart, innovative work across all advertising mediums (broadcast, digital, print, social, radio, out-of-home (OOH), direct)A demonstrated and strong strategic sense and a proven ability to turn deep consumer insights into great advertisingAn obsession with craft, great design, typography, photography, cinematography and musicPassion about technology and storytellingCourage to champion big ideas and collaborate effectively with others to make them a realityProficiency in Adobe C-Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Knowledge and comfort working in Social Media and digital asset creation software (Live Canvas, HTML 5)Ability to work in presentation creation software (Keynote, iMovie)Ability to multitask and work against a deadlineAbility to collaborate as part of a team or ideate independentlyAbility to deliver presentationsReliable, with a positive “can-do” attitudeBasic knowledge and interest in The Walt Disney Company history – including films, animation, television and theme parksPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of Motion Graphics and After EffectsWorking knowledge of an Advertising Agency and its processes or similar creative environmentEducationCurrently enrolled in an accredited college/university as a junior or senior, or graduated within six months of application submission, earning a degree in Advertising, Design, or closely related fieldRequired MaterialsAn electronic online portfolio is required as part of this application process.
