What are we looking for in our Communications Specialist (Remote)?

Our client, a global technology leader, is seeking a Communications Specialist for their Retail Engagement and Marketing Team on a fully remote basis.

Contract W2

Pay Range: $45.00 - $53.00 per hour DOE

Remote US

As our ideal candidate, you’re able to produce clear, well-written communications under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You are well-organized, can manage several projects at a time, and possess the technical savvy to navigate ticketing and publishing systems with ease. In this role, you'll support communication that impacts the day-to-day operations of the Retail operations. This includes supporting communication for Specialists in Retail Stores, as well as Retail Customer Care Centers. You'll work with the business to produce thoughtful, strategic and engaging communication for a global audience. In addition to producing high quality operational communications, you’ll cultivate relationships with key business partners, design and execute on strategic communication plans for operational events, collaborate with individual retail groups to streamline and reduce overall communication, offer edits and writing assistance to your teammates, help build out an operational planning process, analyze content metrics and influence content design standards.

Key Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience writing communications, working at a publication, web publishing, advertising agency or in-house creative environment
  • 7+ years’ experience in editorial campaign planning & production or a similar role
  • Core understanding of music digital platforms and experience working on content related projects, including end-to-end management from creative storytelling concept development to launching multi-phase programs in partnerships with Production, and other stakeholders
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Creative strategy background that helps you articulate the “why” behind campaigns
  • Experience developing creative briefs
  • Experience running internal, cross-functional meetings to both present and voice strategy and direction to stakeholders
  • Problem-solver: the ability to anticipate and troubleshoot issues amidst the workflow
  • Excellent presentation and deck-making skills - Keynote experience preferred
  • High degree of ownership and accountability
  • Passion for music, pop culture and the digital entertainment landscape
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain focused while juggling multiple tasks, opinion and perspectives • Proven interpersonal skills with emphasis on building productive and positive relationships
  • Understanding of video and audio content formats
