St. Ann's Home in Irondequoit is looking for an Expediter for our Dining Services!
The primary purpose of your job is to ensure the proper flow of Resident meal items from the main kitchen to the household neighborhoods. The focus is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Communication with others is based on knowledge of repetitive job routines and procedures gained from on the job experience. Consistent, error free work based on defined regulations and standards are key measures of job performance success.
What to Expect:
* Assists in portioning and packaging quantities to proper household neighborhood* Wraps and labels items correctly by household* Utilizes tally sheets to precisely load and verify each household neighborhood meal truck for accuracy in quantities and consistencies* Coordinates the deliveries of the household meal trucks* Responds to any calls for missing meal items and delivers item* Under the direction of the Cook, controls the storage of leftover/unused food and advanced preparation* Maintains kitchen and storage areas in an orderly manner for standard safety and sanitary regulations.* Provides adequate garnishes and accompaniments for enhancing dining service. Maintain adequate food supply to service areas utilizing a team approach to assist wherever requested.* Performs other duties as requested by any department Supervisor.
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of cooking methods, utensils and equipment preferred.
