19.5 hours per week. Varied days and hours.

Job Summary

Estrella Mountain Community College is hiring student workers for the Library. This position will be responsible for assisting students, faculty and staff with library resources while supporting a diverse population.

Essential Functions

30% Circulation of library materials

30% Shelving materials

30% Cleaning and dusting shelves

10% Answering telephone and directional questions

Minimum Qualifications

1. Applicants must be eligible for Federal Work Study.

2. Students must be enrolled for Fall 2024.

3. Ability to reach all library shelving.

4. Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.

Desired Qualifications

1. Experience providing front-line customer service to a diverse population.

2. Experience maintaining and balancing multiple work flows.

3. Experience working with Microsoft Office or similar software.

4. Experience working with library circulation systems and/or catalog systems.

5. Library work experience.

6. Experience handling confidential information.

7. Experience working in a team oriented environment.

Special Working Conditions

Must have effective listening skills and provide daily, on-going, customer service.
