Legrand has an exciting opportunity for aMarketing Managerto join theLighting Sector Kenall Team.This is ahybrid position reporting to Kenosha, WI.The Marketing Manager is responsible for execution of identified marketing strategies, including brand development, segment marketing and promotional programs across multiple verticals, social media, public relations, targeted email campaigns and trade show support. This person is responsible for developing and ensuring the proper usage of all brand standards relating to positioning, core messaging and brand/corporate taglines and selling/value propositions to a range of stakeholders that include, but is not limited to, customers, agents, specifiers, end-users, trade associations, trade organizations, trade publications and other influential hubs.

What Will You Do?

In conjunction with Product Marketing Director, coordinates and conducts market research to collect voice of customer and insights for product development (features, benefits, competitive set, USP, etc.)

Understands market insights and implications gathered by the Product Marketing Team to effectively execute communications’ campaigns and programs in support of established marketing strategies.

Engages in the ongoing advancement of industry knowledge base via relationship with the sales team, information gathered vis the internet, contacts with content experts & industry analysts, and relevant trade publications. Incorporates information into marketing campaigns and provides overview to marketing communications team and other internal stakeholder to enhance Kenall’s expertise.

Manage and oversee external vendor partners to effectively and efficiently support corporate marketing strategy.

Participates in brainstorming sessions with Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, Specifiers and various internal project teams (as appropriate) to develop creative ideas and concepts.

Develops innovative programs and tactics to effectively and efficiently reach our target market though educational/thought leadership opportunities, advertising, PR, trade shows and other identified promotions.

Facilitates the development of MarCom objectives via a project planning brief and creates outlines, wireframes and concepts for campaigns and marketing pieces.

Manages the process and team responsible for producing marketing communication pieces and sales tools. Coordinates with Marketing Communications Manager to ensure timely production and delivery.

Oversee development and implementation of all advertising campaigns.

Reviews creative, effective, original copy for multiple projects simultaneously, across a variety of media; submits to Director of Marcom for final approval.

Assists in setting communication’s strategy, together with Director of Marketing Communications, Product Marketing and Sales and. Manages activities to collect data on target markets and analyzes data from all available tools.

Manages PR and Media Relations to advance the Kenall brand and products.

Manages all “thought leadership” communications and programs through the creation and placement of white papers, presentations/Webinars, speaking opportunities, videos/animations, and other PR and sponsorship opportunities.

Develops and maintains brand standards. Identifies and documents company and industry standards for writing style and voice. Reviews and edits marketing materials to ensure effective and consistent messaging in all mediums, as well as accuracy, quality, and adherence to standards.

Keeps internal stakeholders informed of marketing projects, campaigns and deliverables with regular updates as appropriate.

Assists the Web Developer with updates of content to help strengthen the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy through the identification of applicable keywords and their incorporation into on-page web content.

Assist in the preparation of annual strategy documents relating to market trends, opportunities and threats. Works with each product segment to consolidate market data and summarize a competitive analysis.

Works independently to execute assigned projects from the production stage through to completion.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Education/Experience:

Minimum of 8 years marketing, copywriting, or agency experience.

BA/BS Degree or higher in Marketing, Journalism, or Communications.

Specific experience in the lighting industry a plus.

Experience with product launch planning and execution.

Experience with market research (qualitative and quantitative)

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often meeting tight deadlines.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Suite a plus.

Experience with CRM / demand generation / marketing automation software a plus

Understands basic legal principles, including copyrights and trademarks.

Flexibility with respect to shifting priorities and schedules; willingness to work additional hours, as needed, to meet deadlines.

Miscellaneous:

Ability to efficiently work independently and with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.

Self-motivated and organized with attention to detail, deadline focused; has the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write clear, persuasive marketing copy, in a range of voices and styles for varied projects with diverse audiences.

Highly creative, shows initiative, and is proactive.

Ability to interface with all levels of management.

Must be professional in appearance and attitude; possess the ability to work in a professional manner with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels.
