USER EXPERIENCE (UX)/USER INTERFACE (UI) DESIGN INTERNSHIPS
TechPoint seeks passionate students to work as UX/UI Interns for our Xtern program in the summer of 2025. Xterns in the UX/UI job function may work on a variety of projects depending on their employer, such as user experience research and analysis, wireframing, visual designing and animation. This is an opportunity to apply the knowledge you've learned in the classroom and develop the skills you'll need for the next step in your career.
WORK AT A RAPIDLY-GROWING TECH COMPANY
The Xtern program connects qualified college students with a high-growth tech company for a
10-week, full time, paid internship
over the summer. Xtern finalists will interview with two-to-five potential tech companies for their internship on Finalist Day, November 15th, 2024.
PREVIOUS XTERNS HAVE:Performed heuristic evaluation and collaboratively re-designed a company websiteDefined and brought structure to design team of a company around user research and user test, ensuring they gathered the right information for each project, and how to ask quality questionsOwned a project from industry research, information and requirements gathering, user research, feature prioritization, initial wireframes, full concept designs, to presenting to the teamsAPPLICANTS SHOULD BE PROFICIENT IN:
Design software proficiency (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD)Understanding of user-centered design principlesBasic knowledge of HTML/CSSPrototyping skillsCreating WireframesUser research and usability testing conceptsStrong Communication (Written & Verbal)Willingness to learn and adaptTime management and organizational skillsBasic understanding of business conceptsREQUIREMENTS:
