As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, translate, and report customer insights which will have a direct impact on decision making and strategy for Prime Video Product and Tech teams. You will support the production of key business reporting to our stakeholders, build scalable data solutions to complex problems and perform ad-hoc deep dives.

In doing so, you will have the opportunity to work with the one of the largest and most complex data warehouses in the world and collaborate with multiple Tech, Science, Product, and Marketing teams across the globe.

This position requires high judgment, excellent analytical abilities, a creative mind to invent solutions to improve our interaction with the customer; it also offers broad exposure to various business, product, and technical teams across Amazon. Key job responsibilities

Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, to drive key business decisions

Apply advanced analytics, statistics and Machine Learning to derive impactful insights into customer behavior

Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation

Build strong relationships with upstream engineering teams to enhance upstream data sources and develop data processes that enable more scalable and accurate reporting

Support Product and Business teams as required on ad-hoc and longer term analysis requests

A day in the life

Your day may begin with gathering business requirements from product team to support decision making and product development, utilizing complex SQL queries to analyze data from millions of Prime Video customers. This involves building data pipelines, transforming raw data into insightful visualizations and dashboards, identifying key trends and anomalies. You also apply analytics to dive deep on A/B testing results, offering strategic insights to the product team. Collaboration with the tech and science teams, in which you provide data-driven recommendations for tech design, Machine Learning model development and evaluation.

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)

Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree

Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design

Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
