DescriptionWe are seeking Electric Distribution Designers to work in the Northern New Hampshire / Massachusetts area. This role involves developing construction work packages for electric distribution systems using various software systems and construction standards. Project work may include joint use make ready and street light projects. Engineering calculations, preparing forestry trimming requests, and customer advocacy are also part of the role. Successful candidates can look forward to career development and growth, as well as gaining experience in the National Electrical Safety Code, structural pole modeling, and GIS design.Electric Distribution Designer Tasks:Design and develop construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systemsComply with quality control and safe work practicesField pole locations and take detailed notes on existing conditionsElectric Distribution Designer Required Education & Experience:Level 1 - Associate Electric Distribution Designer : Bachelors of Science degree with 1+ years of experience or additional experience in lieu of degreeLevel 2 - Electric Distribution Designer : Bachelors of Science degree with 2+ years relevant experience or additional experience in lieu of degreeRequired for all levels:Background working with a utility performing design workExperience with Pole Loading software and SAPProven ability to communicate with clients and project teamsExperience with projects in distribution designPreferred experience for all levels:Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PLS-CADD, and MicroStationExperience with development of civil & electrical packages associated with complex cable/conduit in dense urban environmentsOriginal Posting Date:
