In the role of Planner/Graphic Designer, we'll count on you to:Conduct multimodal transportation planning studies for a wide range of clients including but not limited to state DOTs, metropolitan planning organizations, transit agencies, and local governments.Develop high quality presentations and communicate complex transportation planning concepts in a simple and relatable manner with compelling, professional visual designs that informs and educates clients, stakeholders and the public.Create, revise, and update a wide range of deliverables including but not limited to exhibits, flyers, infographics, reports, maps/wayfinding graphics, social media graphics, presentations, stylized templates for long documents, logos, and assets for digital engagement.Support community engagement and public information efforts, meetings, and public hearings. Participate in public meetings or hearings to explain planning proposals, to gather feedback from those affected by projects, or to achieve consensus on project designs.Define regional or local transportation planning problems or priorities.Collect, assimilate, analyze, and manage project-related data developed through research, interviews, surveys, and other methods.Recommend transportation system improvements or projects, based on economic, population, land-use, or traffic projections.Collaborate with engineers to research, analyze, or resolve complex transportation design issues.Support business development efforts and client relationships (with the support of senior staff)Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in urban planning or relevant field.Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience with production of planning reports and presentations, and graphic presentation of planning concepts and complex quantitative data.Excellent graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task and stay organized. Highly responsive to requests from clients.Familiarity with Geographic information Systems - ESRI ArcGIS software; ESRI ArcViewPreference given to local candidates
